Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Must meet eligibility criteria for the Canada Summer Jobs program (ages 15–30, legally entitled to work in Canada).

  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a post-secondary program in Social Work, Community Development, Sociology, or a related field.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  •  
  • Interest in working with diverse populations, including youth, seniors, and underrepresented communities.

  • A proactive and empathetic attitude towards community support and social causes.

  •  
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and basic social media platforms.

Experience

  • Prior experience in a volunteer or community service role is an asset, but not required.

  • Training will be provided, and enthusiasm to learn is key.

Working Hours

  • Duration: 8 to 12 weeks during the summer months (flexible start and end dates).

  • Schedule: Full-time (35 hours per week), Monday to Friday.

  • Some evening or weekend availability may be requested based on community event schedules.
