We’re seeking a Database Administrator (DBA) Manager to lead our database operations and ensure the integrity, performance, and security of our data infrastructure. You will be responsible for managing a team of DBAs, designing robust database architectures, optimizing queries and processes, and supporting mission-critical applications and analytics systems. This role requires strategic thinking, hands-on technical expertise, and strong leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain highly available, scalable, and secure database systems (SQL and NoSQL).
• Oversee database performance tuning, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Develop and enforce database policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Ensure data security, backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies are in place and tested.
• Collaborate with development, DevOps, and analytics teams to support business objectives.
• Evaluate and implement database tools and technologies to improve efficiency.
• Drive database automation and infrastructure-as-code practices.
• Maintain documentation related to database design, configuration, and processes.
Provide technical mentorship and career development support for team members.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in database administration
• Strong expertise in relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra).
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and managed database services.
• Proficient in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and automation tools.
• Familiarity with data warehousing, ETL, and analytics workloads is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
